Award-Winning Communities

Polinger Company is honored to announce several of its properties won the 2017 National Resident Satisfaction Award from SatisFacts and the 2017 ApartmentRatings Top Rated Award. SatisFacts surveys over 3 million residents of rental apartments nationwide and measures the results for property management companies. ApartmentRatings.com is an online resource for renters to view reviews from existing residents.

The sister companies combine to ask residents about their experiences with moving into the apartment and maintenance requests.

The SatisFacts Resident Satisfaction Award is given to properties that achieved a score of 4.0 or higher on their surveys. The ApartmentRatings Top Rated Award recognizes properties with outstanding resident satisfaction as measured by a 70% or greater overall recommended score. Each award has minimum survey return requirements to ensure a proper sampling is achieved.

Bethesda Place Apartments in downtown Bethesda took top honors of all Polinger properties with a 99% recommended score from Apartment Ratings. The following other properties also won both awards: Highland House and Highland House West in Chevy Chase, Brighton Village in Gaithersburg, Congressional Towers and Rollins Park in Rockville, The Arcadian in Silver Spring, Country Place in Burtonsville, and the Swift Petworth in DC.

We thank the teams at our communities for their hard work and dedication for making these awards possible. Congratulations on your success!

Happy Retirement to Sydell Strumpf

Polinger Company is honored to announce the retirement of Sydell Strumpf after 55 years of service. Mrs. Strumpf began as a temporary employee at Congressional Towers apartments in Rockville, and throughout her career, held various positions such as Property Manager and Auditor. In her time as Auditor, she was lovingly known as the “Chief Quality Control Office.” She is described as loyal, honest, hard-working, and caring by those who know her best.

Her expertise, knowledge in Property Management and familiarity with the Polinger way were unparalleled. She was a mentor to many of her colleagues. In her retirement, Sydell plans to spend time with her family and continue enjoying her weekly mahjongg games with friends. She will be greatly missed the Polinger Company family.

Polinger Cares

#PolingerCares 2017

As a part of our annual #PolingerCares company-wide volunteer initiative, the Polinger team tackled a big project at Raymond Education Campus in Washington, D.C., where we came together to paint the school and show off their school colors of green and yellow!

Proudly sporting our Polinger caps, leasing and maintenance teams from various communities were excited to come together for a day of giving back to the community.

Raymond Education Campus, or Charles W. Raymond Elementary School was constructed in two sections in 1924 and 1928, with alterations in 1964 when classrooms on the west side were added. The school was named in honor of Charles W. Raymond, who served as engineer commissioner from 1888 to 1890, and a U.S. Corps of Engineers member.

They strive to empower students to communicate effectively, solve problems independently, demonstrate effective leadership skills, and become responsible citizens in a global society. Their vision is to create an exemplary learning community, where students will acquire the necessary skills to attend college and succeed in our global society.

As an older school, understandably, they wanted a fresher look. The Polinger team jumped at the opportunity to help them achieve that while they work hard to shape the future success of our children.

Dedicated to yet another Polinger volunteer initiative, Mr. Polinger is so proud that his team of talented and hard-working individuals put in their time and effort to really transforming the hallways of this school for students, teachers, and staff to enjoy for years to come.

We’re fortunate to have a team who cares so much about improving and giving back to the community, and having fun while doing it!

We can’t thank our team enough for volunteering and look forward to our next opportunity! Each of our communities really came together to give back to the community.

Property Management Association’s 2017 PACE Awards

Property Management Association’s 2017 PACE Awards

On Thursday, October 19, the members of the Polinger team attended the 7th annual Property Management Association (PMA) PACE Awards ceremony at Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Rockville, Maryland.

The PACE Awards recognizes property management professionals and their team members, allowing them to “strut their stuff” as experts in the industry. Celebrating apartment management excellence, the Polinger is pleased to announce that some of our communities were recognized during the ceremony.

Among the many apartment communities in the DMV area, both Highland House and Highland House West in Chevy Chase, Maryland won a Distinguished Community award, one of the categories of awards presented. They were evaluated on criteria that included resident services, property condition, and community outreach among various other factors.

In particular, we’d like to shout out Jack Carter from Highland House, who won Service Manager of the Year!

We want to also extend congrats to all of the other apartment communities who were honored during the ceremony! You can view the list of winners here.

We are beyond proud of our communities and overall team for working hard year-round to provide residents with the best possible service and living experience. We are excited about another year of great success ahead!
