The Company has developed landmark buildings such as the Van Ness Complex, an office and apartment building project, in Washington, DC, the Chevy Chase Office Building and the Highland House and Highland House West apartment communities, all located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The Company also developed Bethesda Place, a mixed-use property including two high-rise office buildings,100 units of luxury apartments and retail space, located in the Central Business District of Bethesda, Maryland.
The Company has also been involved in the acquisition and repositioning of numerous investment properties, ranging from office buildings and apartment complexes acquired with local investors to large institutional assets acquired with nationally known pension fund advisers. With numerous and longstanding contacts in the investment sales and leasing community, the Company is able to underwrite investment properties and forecast returns using real market data. Furthermore, with in-house leasing, construction and engineering expertise the Company can quickly target upside opportunities in a particular investment while minimizing downside exposure.
